On Eyre

Don’t fall off you chair I’m posting again two days in a row. Maybe it because there is no tv out here.
Today we drove from Merredin to Balladonia on the Eyre Highway about 700Km. We set out at 7 and stopped at 3:30 as the next stop was over 2 hours from here and a relaxed afternoon was in order.

Balladonia Caravan Park

Balladonia Caravan Park

This place is a fuel stop, motel, restaurant, pub, backpackers and camping ground. The only residents are the managers, several backpacker casual help and a million files with the occasional ant thrown in. Even the native animals don’t stop here. Don’t get me wrong it’s the best place for hundreds of kilometres.
Tomorrow we might even get out of W.A. and mix it with the crow eaters.
There is one thing good about this place, I can get better mobile reception here than at home.
So till we meet again somewhere east of here.

Good night

We are on the Road

We got away this afternoon after Pam finished work.
The first stop is Merredin. We made it here just after 7. It was great as we are in a drive through site and don’t have to unhook the van.
We will hopefully get to Border Village Friday night. Then Saturday may end up being a rest day to watch the footy.

We then have to get to Melbourne by Thursday 3rd Oct and we sail on the ferry that night. We will stay in Devonport for several nights before heading to the west coast and on to Hobart.
